Description: The office of Representative Mark Huizenga of the 74th District is currently looking to fill the Legislative Aide/Constituent Services position. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, general office management, managing both the office’s and the Representative’s schedules, and managing the office’s robust constituent relations efforts. Selected candidates will be responsible for all communications coming into and being initiated by the office, including responding to emails from the district box, drafting tributes and certificates, and maintaining an organized filing system to track events, organize policy, and quantify the office’s activities. Assistance in social media, research, and special projects will be required.  Travel to the district may be necessary on a case by case basis for the purpose of attending in-district community events and meetings.

Salary Range: Salary will be based on experience.

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must be organized, detail-oriented, and willing to take initiative. Strong applicants will have a positive attitude, previous office experience including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Bachelor’s Degree preferred as well as previous experience in the legislative setting.  Applicants should have multiple writing samples and references available upon request.
