Office: Republican Caucus Services
Description: The office of Republican Caucus Services is currently looking to fill several internship positions. Constituent Relations Interns will strengthen the efforts of Member Services Advisors to maximize communication between Legislators and their constituents. Performing legislative research, writing press releases, and contributing logistical support to events are a few of the potential tasks. Selected candidates will gain valuable hands-on experience working with both central and legislative office staff.
Salary Range: This is an unpaid position, but college credit is possible. (See your school’s Internship Coordinator or Academic Advisor.)
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must be a student, veteran, or participant in job entry program. Successful applicants will have strong verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work efficiently and independently. Basic computer skills are required, including a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suit of programs. Knowledge of the Legislature is desired but not required. Applicants should have a writing sample and references available upon request.
