Description: This posting is a full-time, paid position at The Michigan House of Representatives Republican Caucus Services Office.  Responsibilities include editing and fact-checking news releases, newsletters and other content; coordinating the distribution and output of media releases; ensuring steady workflow; and ensuring accuracy of the caucus website. Candidate will help implement and oversee and ensure the success of communications plans.  Additional responsibilities include responding to media and identifying news opportunities.

Salary Range: $45,000 - $50,000

Minimum Qualifications: Candidate must possess excellent editing and writing skills, and be detail-oriented.  Bachelor's degree in communication, journalism, public relations or related field is preferred.  Experience in AP-style writing. Knowledge of the legislative process is a plus.

Number of Employees Under Direct Supervision: None.
