Legal Internship/Externship

Description: The House Republican Policy Office is currently looking to fill internship/externship positions for the fall semester.  Legal Interns will have the opportunity to assist the Director, Budget Director, Policy Advisors, and Office Manager with research assignments, analytical writing, organizational projects, and standard office tasks.  Legal Interns will also be expected to assist the House Legal team in their research.  Selected candidates will gain valuable hands-on office and legislative experience in a professional and fast-paced environment.  Hours are negotiable.

Salary Range: This is an unpaid position, but college credit is possible.  (See your school’s Internship Coordinator or Academic Advisor.)

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants for this position must be a law student. Strong written communication and research skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work efficiently and independently are required.  Basic computer skills are also required, including a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs.  Applicants should have a writing sample and references available upon request.
