Paid Internship

General Description: The Clerk of the House is currently looking to fill a paid internship position.  An intern would have the opportunity to assist the House Television in the coverage of live events.  This includes operation of video cameras, production switchers, character generators, and audio.  The selected candidate will gain valuable hands-on television production experience in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule: (required availability) Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9AM to 2PM.

Pay Range: $8.90 - $10.00 per hour.  College credit may also be available. (See your school’s Internship Coordinator or Academic Advisor.)

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must be a student, veteran, or participant in job entry program. Strong applicants will have some video production experience, including knowledge of basic production techniques, computer display technology (e.g. PowerPoint), and a positive attitude.  Knowledge of the Legislature is desired but not required. Applicants should have a list of references available upon request.

Caucus: Non-Partisan

The position is a non-civil service appointment to state government.  All employees of the House of Representatives are considered at-will.
