Office: Rep. Dianda
Description: The office of Representative Scott Dianda of the 110th District is currently looking to fill an internship position for the 2016-17 academic year. An intern would be expected to provide assistance to the Representative and his staff in the areas of research, communications, constituent relations, general office management and miscellaneous tasks. Some responsibilities will include answering phones, monitoring legislation, and written correspondence to groups and individuals within the 110th District. Representative Dianda's office offers a friendly, upbeat environment, taxidermy, French press coffee, and hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.
Availability: We would prefer an applicant who is available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Salary Range: This is an unpaid position, but may lead to paid employment. College credit is also possible. (See your school’s Internship Coordinator or Academic Advisor.
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must be a student, veteran, or participant in job entry program. Must have basic letter-folding, envelope-stuffing, data entry and errand-running capabilities. The ability to draft thoughtful letters would be appreciated and put to good use, as would the ability to work independently to complete short-term projects. Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required. Excellent telephone skills, strong writing skills, and a positive attitude are preferred.
